Start with the project type, not a starting price
The scopes below are illustrative, not fixed packages or priced client quotes. First compare delivery, required content and management. Codegenie cases show existing websites; they do not establish a general price.
- Compact business website: homepage, service descriptions, real completed work and a contact route, starting with supplied text and images.
- Larger service website: separate services, project pages and possibly several languages. Include content, translations and checks for each visitor journey.
- Website with editing or features: agreed editable content, access rights, instructions and any filters, calculations or integrations, including checks and maintenance.
Separate one-off delivery and recurring costs
- One-off: discovery, structure, design, development, content, any migration, form checks and handover. Identify what you supply and what Codegenie develops.
- Recurring: hosting, domain, mailboxes, licences and agreed maintenance. Identify the owner, term and conditions of each item.
- Separate: extra languages or pages, photography, new features and external services. An illustrative project does not receive a fictional quote price.
One specific offer: the plumber package
Codegenie’s scoped plumber website package costs €59 per month excluding VAT, with a minimum term of 24 months. The base subscription therefore totals €1,416 excluding VAT over the minimum term. This is a specific one-page offer, not an average Belgian market price or the price of every custom website.
What does €59 per month include?
The plumber package includes a professional one-page website, mobile and desktop design, service overview, clickable telephone link, contact or quote form, hosting, SSL, basic local SEO, technical maintenance and basic availability and SSL monitoring.
The domain, business mailbox, professional photography, advertising, extensive multilingual content, online scheduling, major integrations and extra pages are excluded. Compare the minimum term and separately priced extras too. Ownership, handover and export are agreed in writing before work starts.
Why is there no universal custom-development price?
A business website with supplied copy and several service pages is a different assignment from a multilingual site with content management, a calculator or CRM integration. Codegenie quotes custom work from its actual scope. An unsupported price range would hide those differences.
- Pages and templates: five similar service pages differ from five distinct interactive screens.
- Content: identify who supplies copy, translations, project images and missing material.
- Administration: define what you can edit and the instructions you receive.
- Features: specify forms, calculations, bookings and integrations, including exceptions.
- Existing site: inventory, redirects and handover belong in a migration scope when needed.
Compare total cost over the same period
Add one-off development, content and migration. Then include hosting, domain, mailboxes, licences and agreed maintenance over an identical comparison period. Record VAT, minimum term, cancellation and excluded changes separately.
For the confirmed plumber package, the base subscription alone can be calculated exactly: 24 × €59 = €1,416 excluding VAT. Use the separate quote for domains and other extras. Comparing €59 directly with a one-off development price compares different kinds of cost.
Compare two quotes fairly
Illustrative comparison, not a client case: quote A covers design and development; quote B also identifies copy editing, old-URL migration and form tests. Even without prices, the deliverables differ. Request equivalent delivery before interpreting the price difference.
- Do both cover the same pages, languages and features?
- Who supplies the content and completes what is missing?
- What do revisions, handover and instructions include?
- Who controls the domain, accounts, source code and content?
- Which costs recur and what happens on cancellation?
- Which changes are outside scope and how are they estimated?
Keep the budget manageable
Start with the pages needed to explain your offer and support contact. Reuse suitable content and defer features without a demonstrated need. Keep essential quality: a smaller scope is not the same as insecure forms or an unusable mobile site.
Request a proposal for your website
Send your business activity, audience, current website, likely pages and languages, and available material. Include required functionality and a preferred date or budget when known. Scope and exceptions determine the quote; rankings and enquiry volumes are not guaranteed.
Codegenie practice: pricing starts with an explicit scope
A website proposal starts with your activity, intended customers, current site, pages, languages and available content. Describe the features you need and who will manage the content. Include timing and budget if known. This input helps define delivery, assumptions and separate costs.
Summary
The published plumber package provides one verifiable price: €59 per month excluding VAT, at least 24 months, with separate extras. For custom work, compare deliverables and total costs over the same period. A useful quote states what is delivered, what is excluded and who maintains the site afterwards.
